Looking through some old papers this evening I found a piece I had scribbled back in 2005 on Record Cleaning. Nowadays it is a more acceptable pass-time than back then. At the time I was using a kit form Moth Vacuum Record Cleaner, Disc Doctor Miracle Record Cleaner and their superb brushes. Since then I found the Walker Audio Prelude Cleaning Products were even better – but more expensive and time consuming. While latterly I have been sold on the Audio Desk System Gläß Sonic Vinyl Cleaner (of which maybe more later) supplemented by my trusty Doug Brady Carbon fibre brush (c 1983) for eeking dust out the grooves, blu-tak to pick up the crud and DDMRC for records that look as though they need it.
