Getting back on my bike

This afternoon I hit the South Downs again for a couple of hours doing a variation on a circuit I rode a few weeks ago.  As you can see from the photo the views were limited by  cloud – by the time I got home the sun was shining!

Anyway the route took the form of a distorted figure of 8 comprising of a mix of a couple of long shallow climbs and 5 shorter steeper climbs.  All told the ascent is  just under 1500ft in just under 15 miles.  This was just about right for me today, pushing myself but not too hard.

One day when I get used to map-my-ride I will show the route,  which starts and finishes at Foredown Tower, and stretches to the SDW, Truleigh Hill, Southwich and Devils Dyke.
